Helping Our Kids Exceed

One of the best things about our school is our schedule. Everyone loves that we are a year-round school providing educational instruction from mid/late-July through May each year.

Year-round schools have proven to assist students in information retention by closing the learning gap.

Our academic calendar runs 9 weeks on and 3 weeks off, and a 7-week summer break. This schedule not only gives students and teachers an opportunity to take a break and reset, but it allows families to plan extensive family vacations and schedule medical and dental appointments.

Our school days are great too! We are in school Monday - Friday. But get this...

Our student arrival time is 8:30 am

Classes start at 9:00 am

Students get a nice, healthy 1 hour lunch

And are dismissed at 4:00 pm

We also enjoy:

4 field trips per year

3 fun-filled Spirit Weeks

2 Family Nights

1 Field Day

Inside The Crow's Nest, you'll find small class sizes. Small classes allow us to give each student a more individualized learning experience. Teachers and students get to work more closely allow teachers to catch students academic needs before they fall behind. Our teachers get to know each family more personally in this family-oriented environment.

Our curriculum focuses on STEM education, particularly robotics and agriculture. We teach our students leadership skills that will prepare them for college, career, and global initiatives in an ever-growing digital world.

What if I can't afford
it? Are there any scholarships or assistance programs that can help?

Absolutely! North Carolina offers the NCSEAA Opportunity Scholarship. Click here to go to their website and apply.

My child has an IEP. Do you accept IEPs? Is there financial help for children with disabilities?

Ah! Well, IEPs students are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Schedule your tour so you can speak to someone about your child's particular needs.

NCSEAA offers the Opportunity Scholarship for tuition assistance and the ESA+ which covers additional expenses for students with academic disabilities.
